What We Believe About The Scriptures
We believe in the total inerrancy of the Holy Bible, given to men truly inspired by the Holy Spirit of God, through His supernatural presence. We believe the Bible is comprised of sixty-six books, to be complete from Genesis 1:1 through Revelation 22:21, and that it is the inexhaustible truth of God’s spoken word. We believe the Bible is the standard for all conduct of mankind to be measured. We believe that the King James text is divinely preserved in it’s translation.
What We Believe About The One True God
We believe in the One True and living God, who resides in Heaven. We believe that God is one nature, and three distinct persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, all in one essence working in unity to sustain all things seen and unseen.
-We believe that God in His omniscience, is all knowing, seeing all things, therefore sovereignly in control of all things.
-We believe that God in His omnipotence, is all powerful, and by Him all things consist.
-We believe that God in His omnipresence, is everywhere at once, and is able to work in and through whom He chooses, when, where, and however He chooses.
What We Believe About Christ’s Resurrection
We believe that Christ was crucified and died on the Cross; that He was buried in a gifted tomb, and that He rose on the third day, just as the scriptures proclaim. We accept the account of the
Scripture concerning the resurrection, and it’s importance to mankind. We believe that Jesus walked on the earth for forty days, following His resurrection, and that He ascended into Heaven on a cloud, at that the mount of Olives, where we believe He will also return in like manner. We believe that Jesus was resurrected, so that God’s elect will be raised from death to life, thus imputing into the saint an underserved righteousness, permitting residence in an eternal home in Heaven.
What We Believe About Church Ordinances
We believe that God, in His infinite wisdom instituted two ordinances for the local church, to observe in obedience alone, until the day of Christ’s return.
-Baptism – We believe that baptism is the first act of obedience, following the acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that Baptism alone does not save. We believe that the Bible teaches total immersion. We believe that baptism is the open expression of the inward transformation, of being born again, that their faith and trust has been placed in Christ, and His perfect life, His sacrificial death, and His miraculous, essential resurrection.
-The Lord’s Supper – We believe that the Lord’s Supper is observed by members of the local church, and that it commemorates Christ undying love; that it should be done as oft is observed, in remembrance of Christ.
What We Believe About The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the divine third person of the Holy Trinity, in the same essence, uniquely working as equal to God the Father and God the Son. We believe that the Holy Spirit, is the method in which God made it possible for mankind to experience His work and His will, in Earth.
What We Believe About the devil or Satan
We believe that Satan through ambitious pride to become The Almighty, fell and drew a host of angels with him. He is as the Bible has told us, the prince of the power of the air, as the unholy god of this world. He is the one who tempted Jesus, and continues to tempt mankind today, therefore assuming his role as the enemy of God and Jesus Christ, thus the enemy of all of the children of God. Satan is the father of all lies and falsehood, the accuser of God’s children, and that there is an eternal place prepared for him and all who choose to follow him, where eternal justice will be executed at the hands of God’s Son, in His righteous judgment.
What We Believe About Creation
We believe in the Genesis account of creation of all things, visible and invisible. We believe that our observance of time, the expanse of the heavens, and all things contained therewith, came about at Genesis 1:1. We believe in six literal creation days: Genesis 1:3-5 as literal day one, Genesis 1:6-8 as literal day two, Genesis 1:9-13 as literal day three, Genesis 1:14-19 as literal day four, Genesis 1:20-23 as literal day five, and Genesis 1:24-31 as literal day six. We believe that God completed all necessary aspects of creation, in these six days, and He rested from creating, but has never rested from holding all things together.
What We Believe About Marriage
We believe is the Biblical view of marriage, as being between one man, and one woman, in accordance with scripture. We believe that God designed marriage, for a man and a woman to join, in one bond, becoming one flesh, and that vows between the two are made to God. We believe that God created Adam and Eve for the purpose of procreating, to carry out His sovereign will, Adam being the earthly father of all living, and Eve being the earthly mother of all living.
What We Believe About The Virgin Birth of Jesus
We believe that Christ is the Second person in the Holy Trinity; God manifested to mankind, as the Word being made flesh. We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin named Mary, and that He is not of the blood of man, but is divine of God the Father, our Creator, begotten of the Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus was, as no other man could, can, or will ever be, 100 percent God, while also being 100 percent man. We believe that He was perfect, and sinless, despite having been tempted in all points as we are. We believe that He remained sinless, as recorded in the scriptures, thus making Him the only viable sacrifice, for the eternal atonement for man’s sins.
What We Believe About The Fall of Mankind
We believe that man is the only part of creation, created in God’s own image. We believe that man was sinless, when placed in the garden of Eden, subsequently choosing knowledge over life, by giving in to the temptation to sin, eating the forbidden fruit, passing down the curse of death as the verdict for all mankind.
What We Believe About Salvation
We believe that the salvation of sinful man is by faith alone, in Christ alone, by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. We believe that our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ died once for sin, and for all mankind, all who place their trust in His finished work on the Cross, He seals to righteousness, for all eternity without revoking this gift of salvation. We believe that one who has been saved can backslide, and that God will welcome them back with open arms, as fresh as when they were first saved, upon true repentance of their sins.
What We Believe About The Church
We believe that a church of the Lord Jesus Christ is an assembly of called out, baptized believers, joined together by a covenant of faith and fellowship of Christ’s Gospel. We believe that the church is called to observe the ordinances of God, brought to man through Christ Jesus, and that the church is governed by His laws and His Word. We believe the church is ordained to have a zeal for Christ’s great commission, making disciples of Christ, building up the church by edifying the body of Christ. We believe that God instituted the church as a local body of assembled believers, to form a functioning and working part of the body of Christ.
What We Believe About Giving
We believe that scriptural giving is one of the fundamentals of the faith. We believe that one who is committed to the Lord, will give to that which the Lord is committed to, and that is the saving of souls, as the local bodies of Christ’s church are commissioned to do.
What We Believe About Missions
We believe that the great commission calls us to share the Gospel with all people, creeds, nations, and tongues, so that the Word of God reaches all, thus individuals are called to go or obediently send. We believe that this is a commanded privilege of the believer, as the God of all creation, sovereignly in control of all things, is able to make the rocks cry out to carry out His Will.
